INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION: SUPPORTING GLOBAL MOBILITY
Introduced by: :
Angela Baxter, Director, Business Development, Berlitz International
Discussion Leaders:
Liz Perelstein, President, School Choice International
Andrew J. Kittell,
Director of Corporate Relations, ACS International Schools Ltd
Synopsis:
Recent respected global mobility industry surveys indicate that employees with families are increasingly reluctant to relocate their school-age children. In many cases, the decision to accept an assignment offer or decline the same is related to children's future educational options.
With a combined 20 years of experience assisting families in global transition with their school choices, Andrew Kittell and Liz Perelstein examine the issues most families, HR executives, and relocation professionals face when considering moves with children. From pre-departure planning and informed school-choice decisions to making the most of K-12 educational options on assignment, Kittell and Perelstein share insights that will help anyone associated with what can be high-stakes transitions.
This interactive session explores the benefits of international schools and their host-country alternatives. The value added by educational consultants and the challenges presented by children with special needs will also be examined.
The session concludes with a primer on the fast-growing International Baccalaureate Diploma program and a Q&A period.
